Beltway not shovel-ready

The image “http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:AyBccHzmFhY0oM:http://www.teresco.org/pics/signs/20050521/i840i85i40-close.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. Perhaps if we root out and weed out the corruption at the state DOT, we can actually get roads built in this state. Sadly, one major road project in our area, the Greensboro Urban Loop/Beltway/Painter Blvd./the 840...whatever we're calling that thing these days...is not on the short-list of shovel-ready projects as part of the stimulus.

Ed Cone has some thoughts on this today.

But Robbie Perkin's very "necessary to the growth of Greensboro" Greensway is. I am so discussed that I hope some one somewhere turns this project down for a cut of the Stimulus Bill. BB
