Goldie isn't so golden on Greensboro

The image “http://tbn1.google.com/images?q=tbn:2zH1TPBA2OoH1M:http://www.businessandprofessionalwomencogic.com/photos/execboard2.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors. Councilman Goldie Wells, in her own words, on the search for a new city manager (via the N&R):

“I’m pushing for a national search. Let’s find out who’s out there, if they have enough nerve to come here,” Councilwoman Goldie Wells said Wednesday. “You’ve got to have nerve to come here.”

Some things are better left unsaid.

She's right. Who would want to come work with such a dysfunctional city council. I wish Wade and Rakestraw had stayed on the county board of commissioners.

You've got the dysfunctional part, right. Wells defends spending your money on a national search and at the same time, she contradicts herself by saying that anyone that comes in has to have nerve...like she dares someone to come work for this council. In that respect, I supported the efforts of Wade and Rakestraw to make some changes to move this city forward. Wells is lucky she's leaving this Council. Now, we just need to push out a few others.
